Artist of the Month

Meet Our March Artist of the Month
Taylor is a 12-year-old member of the Boys & Girls Club of Choctaw County - Swink Unit. Taylor has been a member of BGCA-Swink about a year, and she enjoys Boys & Girls Club. She enjoys art and is a talented singer. Taylor used torn magazine piece to create two ducks swimming on a pond in the park. She added people and a puppy from a magazine to give the piece a more realistic look. She used different color pieces to create shadows on the pond.

What is Artist of the Month?
Ready, set, CRAFT! Each month Boys & Girls Club members are asked to submit a photograph of their best arts and crafts work to our Artist of the Month Contest. Each month will have a new theme to inspire youth and artwork should connect to the monthly specified theme. Winning artwork will be posted here on www.bgca.org and the artist will receive a $500 U.S. Savings Bond. The artist's Boys & Girls Club will also receive a $500 award to support arts programming. The deadline to enter is the last day of each month.

How to Enter?
To enter the contest, youth must be a member of a local Boys & Girls Club. Through participation in the Club's arts and crafts program, youth will be able to collaborate with their Club staff to design, create and submit artwork to the contest.

Enter now, only on bgca.net, BGCA's restricted website for Club professionals and volunteers.  Not a Club member?  Find a nearby Boys & Girls Club and learn what your local Club can offer you!
