JCPenney Afterschool

JCPenney Afterschool is sponsoring Boys & Girls Club memberships for youth who are not currently attending after-school programs or are at risk of leaving such programs due to financial difficulties.

A long-standing Boys & Girls Clubs of America partner, jcpenney has been a leading corporate advocate to increase the accessibility and affordability of after-school programs across the country. Through its legacy of supporting youth, jcpenney has distributed more than $100 million to after-school programs across every jcpenney community, helping more kids participate in life-enriching programs that inspire them to be smart, strong and socially responsible.

  • Over the last 18 years, jcpenney has donated more than $30 million to a host of BGCA programs, including Project Learn, Goals for Graduation and Power Hour. Current national funding supports after-school access grants that assist local Clubs in recruiting new members or enabling existing members to continue their participation.
  • Over the last four years, jcpenney’s Round-Up consumer campaign, in which four times a year customers can voluntarily “round up” their purchases to the nearest whole dollar, has raised millions for more than 500 Clubs around the country.
  • In 2010, jcpenney began partnering with BGCA to provide in-kind contributions to each of our state, regional and National Youth of the Year winners by providing them each with a $250 “Dress for Success” gift card.
