In March 2014, Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores joined Boys & Girls Clubs of America in celebrating National Boys & Girls Club Week by sponsoring the “Open the Door. Take the Tour” Campaign. During National Boys & Girls Club Week, thousands of Clubs opened their blue doors to share the magic in helping youth find their great futures. Our Clubs help kids and teens meet their full potential through fun, educational and innovative programs. Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores supported the campaign by sponsoring the Boys & Girls Club Virtual Tour Contest and 100 Ways to Celebrate Being a Kid.
In conjunction with National Boys & Girls Club Week, Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores held a month long "pin-up" campaign to raise funds for Boys & Girls Clubs across the country. They also hosted a free Make It-Take It event in stores to help spread the Boys and Girls Club message of enabling young people. At the event, kids crafted their own foam Blue Door Hanger inspired by National Boys & Girls Club of America Week.
"Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores is proud to support Boys & Girls Clubs of America and their mission to enable the young people who need us most." - Beth Shivak, Manager of Special Events for Jo-Ann.
