Sprint

Sprint believes in positive youth development and social responsibility.

With a goal to provide every young person with a cyber safe future, Sprint supports BGCA’s media safety initiative providing tools and resources to educate parents, guardians, educators and youth on important issues like cyberbullying, social networking, online privacy and mobile safety.  BGCA’s cybersafefutures.org, along with Sprint’s online safety resource 4NetSafetySM, aims to raise awareness around potential cyber safety issues while giving adults and youth the resources they need to have a fun, positive experience online.

Focusing on open communication regarding online safety for young people, BGCA and Sprint offer free tools from experts that address the perils that youth commonly encounter online and encourage positive dialogue with adults about media safety. Working together, Sprint and BGCA developed materials to address these issues and make them available online to staff, youth and their families.

As part of this initiative, Sprint supports a special section on www.myclubmylife.com, BGCA's website for teens, to promote media safety -- cell phones, television and/or websites. The materials target teens, who, more often than not, communicate online.

As a telecommunications leader, Sprint is widely recognized for developing, engineering and deploying innovative technologies, including two wireless networks; industry-leading mobile data services; instant national and international push-to-talk capabilities; and a global Tier 1 Internet backbone.
