Design for a Cause
UGG Australia launches a digital design contest to benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
UGG: Art & Sole

For the 9th Annual Art & Sole, UGG® Australia will invite top artists to unleash their creativity on a pair of iconic UGG Boots. Using I-frame technology in the digital space, artists can begin submitting one-of-a-kind designs on November 21, 2011. Contestants are encouraged to engage their social networks to vote for their design, as well as share and comment on the artist’s creations through Facebook and Twitter. The winning design will serve as inspiration for a limited edition boot that will be available spring 2012 at select UGG Concept stores and www.uggaustralia.com  with a portion of proceeds going to Boys & Girls Clubs of America. To keep the holiday spirit alive, UGG will be integrating U.S. retail stores by accepting contributions at all locations from November 25 to January 8, 2012.

“Simply put, Art & Sole is our opportunity to give back. We are proud to partner with, and support a great cause like Boys & Girls Clubs of America and help to make a difference,” says Connie Rishwain, President of UGG® Australia.

UGG® Australia incorporates the digital landscape to help advocate a charity on a global platform. Talenthouse offers a collaborative creative community that gives consumers a voice in UGG Australia’s history and allows interaction between the brand, leading artists and the audience on a comprehensive landscape.

The deadline for submissions is December 26, 2011, with social voting taking place December 27, 2011 – January 5, 2012. All submissions will be judged by UGG® Australia representatives and the winning artist will be announced January 18, 2012.
