Unilever Foundation’s generous support of Triple Play is helping Boys & Girls Club members to be more healthy and active. The program teaches Club members new ways to eat nutritiously, manage stress, maintain physical fitness and form positive relationships with peers and adults.

Boys & Girls Clubs of America created Triple Play: A Game Plan for Mind, Body and Soul to combat and prevent obesity among youth. It is one of BGCA’s most widely used programs and proven to get youth moving. A 2009 study found Triple Play positively impacts participants’ nutrition knowledge and fitness behavior, including increased daily and weekly physical activity.

Unilever Foundation support has directly enhanced Boys & Girls Clubs’ capacity to provide a high-quality Triple Play experience to Club members by:

  • Providing 40 Clubs with grants to most effectively implement Triple Play,
  • Supplying Club staff resources to successfully carry out the program, and
  • Promoting overall benefits of a healthy lifestyle to Club members.
