LeBron James Event Expected to Generate More Than $2.5 Million in Support of Boys & Girls Clubs

ATLANTA, July 8 -- Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) is grateful to LeBron James for his choosing Boys & Girls Clubs as the beneficiary of the generous support generated by his exciting announcement. LeBron is a long-time supporter of BGCA and our Clubs around the country, and has served as a great role model for our many young people who follow his life and career. Tonight's event is expected to generate more than $2.5 million, which will provide needed support for youth programs and the building and refurbishment of vital facilities at local Boys & Girls Clubs.

BGCA also thanks our local affiliate in Greenwich, Connecticut, the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich, for hosting the event. 2010 is the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich, making this Club one of the oldest and most venerable youth organizations in the nation.
