UPS Drives Support for Teens

Start Your Engines . . . Safely!

On Nov. 5, NASCAR driver David Ragan will unveil his newly designed UPS-sponsored race car which sports a Boys & Girls Club logo and the handprints of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas members who participate in the UPS Road Code safe driving program. These Club teens will be on hand to assist Ragan in presenting his new Ford Fusion car and to enjoy watching a racing demonstration in Dallas.

Because motor vehicle accidents are the leading cause of death for U.S. teens, UPS and its world-renown drivers are delivering a skill-building program to develop safe driving habits for teens and to create a positive change for teens on the roadways.

The UPS Foundation, which is the charitable arm of UPS, introduced a national program this year in collaboration with Boys & Girls Clubs of America to teach the company's industry-leading safe driving techniques to teens. Based in large part on the same safety training used with UPS's own drivers, the program -- UPS Road Code -- helps teens learn the code for safe driving. Partnering with UPS NASCAR driver David Ragan, the safe driving program is being piloted in 10 Boys & Girls Clubs across the country.

To help raise awareness for BGCA and UPS Road Code, the No. 6 UPS Ford Fusion will feature a Boys & Girls Club logo when Ragan competes in the Dickies 500 at Texas Motor Speedway.

Show your support. Tune in to ABC on Sunday, Nov. 8, at 3:15 p.m. (Eastern) to watch the race and cheer the #6 car to victory!
