BURBANK, Calif., Aug. 2, 2012 — Supplied by a generous donation of art supplies from Crayola, BGCA Vice President Frank Sanchez (middle) and Tony Award-nominated and acclaimed film/television actor Courtney B. Vance (right) helped kids from the Boys & Girls Club of Burbank and Greater East Valley create a 12’ x 6’ mural to celebrate Cartoon Network’s upcoming 20th birthday.
A Club alumnus and BGCA supporter, Vance joined several Emmy Award-winning animators from Cartoon Network Studios to help kids create the mural and encourage them to develop their creativity and skills for success in school and future careers. Crayola donated art supplies for the making of the mural as well as a summer’s worth of art supplies for the Club.
Happy birthday Cartoon Network!
