On Saturday, July 14, four of the most legendary U.S. Olympians -- Dominique Dawes, Evander Holyfield, Jackie Joyner-Kersee and Gail Devers -- led Boys & Girls Club members through their own summer games, highlighting a variety of Olympic-themed training stations!
To promote healthy lifestyles and fitness fun, Boys & Girls Clubs of America engaged more than 160 kids from Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta and the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Atlanta in the Triple Play Summer Games event, sponsored by Coca-Cola and the WellPoint Foundation.
The Summer Games event was a part of BGCA’s signature health and wellness program: Triple Play. The Triple Play program contains three primary components: the mind, body and soul. Kids are encouraged to eat a balanced diet (mind), stay physically active (body) and increase their ability to engage in healthy relationships (soul).
