New York -- On Friday, Dec. 15, members of the Boys & Girls Club of Clifton, N.J., were treated to an evening of holiday fun at the MLB Fan Cave in New York City. Each of the 35 Club members received dinner, gifts from Santa -- (thank you, MLB employees, also known as the elves!) -- and got to have their picture taken with MLB mascot Mr. Met.
The kids received important holiday safety lessons from members of the New York City fire and police departments, and met a service dog from the K-9 unit! They asked questions, tried on safety gear and got to pet the NYPD's K-9 dog.
Thank you MLB, the Fan Cave, NYPD, NYFD and all who helped create such a wonderful experience. What an incredible way to make their spirits bright this holiday season.
