The San Francisco Giants weren’t the only winners at the World Series. Members from Boys & Girls Clubs in the San Francisco and Detroit areas were given once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to deliver the official game ball to the mound during each of the World Series Games!
Game 3, which was dedicated to youth from underserved communities, saw BGCA's National Youth of the Year Trei Dudley deliver the ball to the mound. In addition, prior to the game, hundreds of local Detroit area Boys & Girls Club members took part in a special Wanna Play? event and skills clinic where they took part in baseball and fitness activities from the program alongside MLB Hall-of-Famer Frank Robinson, former Detroit Tiger Sean Casey and FOX Analyst Craig Monroe.
Major League Baseball also supported BGCA by showcasing our partnership with in-stadium branding and on-air visibility during game broadcasts.
Thanks to Major League Baseball for all of its support and congratulations on another outstanding season!
