Portcard

Portcard.net, a partner of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, helps
keep children safe as they communicate on the Internet.
Portcard.net is a registry that
authenticates the identity of the person behind a username on social networking
services like AIM, MySpace, and Facebook. Portcard.net protects children against
internet predators who try to take advantage of them by exploiting the total
anonymity of the Internet.
From now through August 2008, Portcard.net will donate 10 percent of every
registration fee it receives to Boys & Girls Clubs of America. In addition, Portcard.net will continue to participate in Boys & Girls Clubs Day for Kids
across the U.S. in an effort to make Boys & Girls Clubs members and their
parents aware of the continuing need to protect themselves online.
“We are delighted that Boys & Girls Clubs of America will be working with
Portcard.net to provide direction and advice on how to address adult concerns
about keeping kids safe in cyberspace,” said Portcard.net Founder Ricky Doyle.
Portcard.net stores authenticated personal information in case there is a need
to identify a particular registered user to law enforcement. Portcard.net does
not share personal information with any other entities.
Portcard.net is one of BGCA's many cyberspace partners – joining Clubs
and corporate sponsors to keep kids safe on the Internet. For information about
our other partners in online safety, please visit our Partners main page. « BACK TO PARTNERS MAIN PAGE
