Sears
Sears has been part of our nation's homes for families for more than a century. And now,
through a partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Sears is helping families build dreams. Sometimes all you need is a little bit of help to get over the hump. So Sears has contributed to building stronger families and communities by generously supporting expansion of Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s Latino Outreach Initiative.
Funding in the amount of $3.3 million, for two years to support six Clubs nationwide (Chicago, Houston, Puerto Rico, Miami, San Antonio and East Los Angeles), was provided to help families achieve and preserve their American Dream. The idea behind the SEARS American Dream Campaign has been to empower communities, by providing support to parents by means of needs-based programming. Such programs include ESL (English as a Second Language), Employability Skills, Money Management, GED (General Education) and others.
