Tests the aerobic fitness and cardiovascular
endurance of participants.
Count the number of times a competitor completes a jump or steps over the rope in two
(2) minutes (120 seconds).
Competitor scores each time they jump or step over the rope. Members may not do double or triple jumping for this event. Only the number of physical jumps a competitor makes in which the rope successfully passes underneath the feet will be counted. Feet must hit the floor in between each jump. The goal isn't to jump the most consecutive times, but rather to complete as many jumps as possible within the time allotted. If a competitor trips or otherwise misses a jump, jumping should resume.
ANY JUMP WHERE A COMPETITOR TRIPS OVER THE ROPE WILL NOT COUNT. DOUBLE, TRIPLE, OR OTHER MULTIPLE JUMPS WILL ONLY COUNT AS ONE JUMP. AT LEAST ONE FOOT MUST TOUCH THE GROUND BETWEEN JUMPS.
