Actor Terry Crews is best known for starring in television shows “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” “Everybody Hates Chris” and host of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent.” Growing up in Flint, Michigan, his memoir, “Tough: My Journey to True Power,” follows Crews from a boy with a goofy, toothless smile to professional NFL player to A-list actor. Crews is also an advocate against sexual assault, domestic violence and human trafficking, earning the UN Global Generation Award for his work with several nonprofits combatting these issues.
