Victor Cruz
Patterson, New Jersey
NFL Player
At the Boys & Girls Clubs of Paterson & Pasaic, Victor Cruz found a place that encouraged his athleticism while ensuring his safety in a community rife with gangs and drugs. Though small for a football player, Victor was a standout wide receiver in high school. After attending the University of Massachusetts, he signed with his hometown N.Y. Giants in 2010. The next season, Victor set a franchise single-season record with 1,536 receiving yards as he helped lead the Giants to victory in Super Bowl XLVI. In 2013, Victor and the NY/NJ Snowflake Foundation donated more than $500,000 to renovate the aquatic center at his former Club.
