For over 20 years, Comcast NBCUniversal has partnered with Boys & Girls Clubs to empower youth with the digital literacy and technology skills needed for success in work and life.
Boys & Girls Clubs of America is excited to continue its partnership with Comcast NBCUniversal to address digital inequity, and equip more than 4.7 million youth served by Clubs, as well as youth outside Clubs, with the tools and resources needed to succeed in a digital world.
In 2014, Comcast NBCUniversal and Boys & Girls Clubs of America entered into a partnership to support the development and launch of MyFuture, a technology initiative designed to teach Club members about our digital world, ignite their passion for technology and help bridge the digital divide.
Since its inception, MyFuture has been enhanced to enable Club members to select from more than 400 hands-on activities to help kids and teens understand their media world, identify and develop digital interests, and earn certifications as they progress.
During the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, MyFuture is helping youth stay virtually engaged and on-track academically, equipping them with digital skills needed for great futures.
MyFuture provides young people ages 6 -24 with a safe, fun digital platform to learn and play. MyFuture is designed to meet kids and teens where they are in their digital lives and teaches a range of skills from the most basic, to the most advanced. The digital platform offers a robust curriculum that includes BGCA core programs such as health and wellness and workforce readiness, as well as more than 400 program activities, ranging from foundational technology skills to media making, coding, game design, leadership development and live events. Young people are able to showcase their work and earn rewards and recognition in the form of badges and certificates.
With over 350 activities, MyFuture delivers a high-quality digital Club experience.
