The Allstate Foundation

The Allstate Foundation and Boys & Girls Clubs of America have teamed up to connect youth with the tools and experiences they can use to make their voices heard while impacting change in their communities, country, and the world.

Amplifying Youth Voice: Think, Learn, Create Change

Through The Allstate Foundation’s generous support, BGCA empowers young people and their mentors to become active changemakers in their communities using the Think, Learn, Create Change (TLC) training model. TLC places youth at the center of their advocacy experiences, helping them identify the issues they’re passionate about, educate themselves on those issues, and create change by implementing advocacy projects and driving transformation in their local communities.

Through this training, Club youth learn how to think about positive change, educate themselves on issues, locate facts from credible sources, identify advocacy tactics, implement plans, and drive change in local communities. With The Allstate Foundation’s support, we can continue offering this program to our Club youth.

The Allstate Foundation’s investment in youth empowerment programs like TLC helps us amplify young people’s voices to impact their communities positively. Our Club youth have the opportunity to use the skills they learn through TLC to develop and implement projects that address the top issues affecting their communities, aligning with The Allstate Foundation’s efforts to empower young people to serve and improve supports motivated youth and young people in making a positive impact on their communities and the world by engaging with partners to create programs for real-world impact, equipping youth with resources to lead service efforts, and preparing adults to encourage and support youth in service.
