The AmerisourceBergen Foundation is an independent not-for-profit charitable giving organization established by AmerisourceBergen Corporation with a mission to improve the health and wellbeing of our patient populations through expanding access to quality healthcare and promoting health equity.
Funding from AmerisourceBergen Foundation will allow BGCA to work with Clubs to ensure they become trauma-informed in their policies, practices and programs, train Club staff on how to identify the signs and symptoms of youth in distress, equip them with non-clinical tools to navigate crisis situations, educate them on existing resources and integrate Social Emotional Development into programming and practices.
In 2020, AmerisourceBergen Foundation became a national partner of Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Their support will allow BGCA to continue building the new SMART Moves curriculum, including content exploring attitudes around youth substance use, and allow Clubs to implement these new health promotion resources and programs that give kids the kinds of experiences that set them up for a lifetime of health and wellness.
AmerisourceBergen, a global healthcare company, makes a positive impact on healthcare around the world by advancing the development and delivery of pharmaceuticals and healthcare products.
Every day, 15 million kids leave school with no place to go.
