Recognizing the significant challenges confronting today’s youth, BGCA and Bridgestone Retail Operations partnered in 2015 to help drive Great Futures.
Bridgestone Helps Support Local Clubs
Since 2015, Bridgestone has partnered with Boys & Girls Clubs of America through the Driving Great Futures partnership. Thanks to donations from Bridgestone Retail Operations’ customers and teammates, more than $23 million has been raised to help Club kids and families access high-impact, out-of-school programming offered by Boys & Girls Clubs nationwide. In 2023, Bridgestone’s donations reached over $3 Million dollars and were used to:
- Purchase 13 new Club vans, including a special van donated to Boys & Girls Club’s 5000th Club, Boys & Girls Clubs of Elgin
- Maintain the fleet of vehicles for more than 20 Clubs
- Provide 3 Clubs with critical Technology funding
- Provide 5 Military Affiliated Youth Centers with Vans or a Transportation Grant for fleet maintenance in honor of Bridgestone’s 30th Anniversary as an AAFES Partner
- Provide Teen Members with Career Exploration Opportunities through its Workforce Pilot with Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee
Bridgestone’s extended support of Driving Great Futures through 2024 continues the program’s legacy of bridging critical divides for Club kids and families nationwide.
In addition, Bridgestone partnered with Tight End University, including star NFL players George Kittle, Travis Kelce, and Greg Olsen, to help raise even more funds for deserving Clubs and the communities they serve. In total, NFL fans donated $131,000 additional dollars to Clubs nationwide in celebration of the Driving Great Futures milestone. Bridgestone extended its support of Driving Great Futures through 2024, continuing the program’s legacy of bridging critical divides for Club kids and families nationwide.
