Carter’s

Carter’s and Boys & Girls Clubs of America have teamed up to combat youth learning loss and enhance community impact. Over the next three years, Carter’s is helping us advance our early childhood education resources, elementary-age literacy support and setting a goal of 50,000 volunteer hours to empower their employees to get involved in their local communities.

Supporting Early Childhood Resources

As Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s first national partner to dedicate funds exclusively for early childhood development, the Carter’s Charitable Foundation’s donation supports the creation of resources for Clubs to address the growing need for accessible and affordable early childhood care in their neighborhoods. Specifically focused on children ages 0-5, Carter’s support provides cognitive and skill development that is critical during those early childhood years.

Scaling Literary Resources

Carter’s also supports our successful Summer Brain Gain-READ program, including the creation of a new module focused on literacy. This program is designed to prevent learning loss during summer breaks and time outside of the classroom for children ages 6-9.

While the module will become available in 2025, Carter’s investment and participation as the sponsor of this new module will help us scale critical literary resources to more Clubs, reaching more young people nationwide.

“At Carter’s, we are grateful to be a part of the journey of childhood, and honored to partner with Boys & Girls Clubs of America,” said Jill Wilson, Senior Vice President, Human Resources & Talent Management. “Our partnership helps to expand their reach and support young children and their parents.”

Employee Engagement

Additionally, Carter’s employees will further their collective impact with a commitment of 50,000 volunteer hours at local Clubs across North America. Carter’s has more than 1,000 retail store locations, nearly all in proximity to a Boys & Girls Club, allowing employees the opportunity to give back to their local communities where they live and work.
