Through this partnership, Chevron’s investment plays an integral role in fortifying local Boys & Girls Clubs, elevating program quality, advocating for youth development, and broadening our collective impact.
Empowering Youth to Improve Their Lives
Since the origin of the partnership, Chevron has invested over $1.5 million to support the transformative work of helping kids and teens meet their full potential. With a focus on essential skill development, STEM & technology, trauma-informed practices and employee engagement, this investment has lasting impact in key areas of importance for youth across the country.
Through funding given to local Clubs, Chevron is able to support specific community needs for the young people they serve. This support helps provide mentoring, leadership training, and workforce readiness development to Clubs in communities nationwide. In 2023, Chevron’s generous support of Clubs successfully connected over 1,500 Club members with captivating and enjoyable STEM experiences, igniting curiosity and helping build the next generation of complex problem solvers. With Chevron’s support of Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s Trauma-Informed Practice initiative, in just 2023 alone, more than 3,200 Clubs serving over 780,000 members were able to deepen their capacity to provide a trauma-informed environment for youth, enriching mental and emotional well-being across the board. Their continued investment will be instrumental in achieving Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s ambitious goal of having 100% of Clubs be trauma-informed by 2026. Equally important to this programmatic work is Chevron employees’ commitment of their time to local Clubs, proving stellar engagements including Youth of the Year judging and mentoring, and working with Club members to develop life and workforce readiness skills.
