ESPN and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America are launching their inaugural year of National Partnership in the Fall of 2024.

Supports Multisport Play and Quality Coaching

For more than 10 years, ESPN has been working to remove the barriers to entry to help more kids get access to sports. As part of its investment in community sports leagues, ESPN will support Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s mission by activating ALLSTAR play at 400+ Clubs across the country. Grant funding provided by ESPN will support programming, events, and competitions that help young people access sports. It will support training and development of Boys & Girls Club staff and coaches through partner programs, foundational youth development trainings for coaches, and trauma-informed trainings to enhance the youth sports experience of Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) participants. Additionally, there will be a focus on the importance of multisport play with the distribution of kits that help young people engage with a variety of sports.

ESPN and BGCA recognize that playing sports allow youth to reach their full potential and build the skills and self-confidence they need to become our future innovators, leaders and problem-solvers. Together with BCGA, ESPN is committed to creating safe and inclusive environments where young people can have fun while playing the sports they love.

ESPN also will leverage their platform and influencers to engage sports fans in a meaningful way, driving social change and raising critical awareness about how, together, we’re breaking down the barriers to equitable access and diverse sports experiences by equipping our clubs with the necessary tools and resources.
