As a national cause marketing partner, Family Dollar is committed to supporting BGCA’s mission and local Boys & Girls Clubs directly through their annual campaigns both online and in-store.
Family Dollar partners with BGCA in a number of exciting ways, including creative Back-to-School and Holiday cause marketing activations. In 2017, Family Dollar will run its first online giving campaign.
To celebrate the campaign’s launch, Family Dollar is creating a unique Back-to-School anthem and music video that will be shared on social media channels to generate awareness and engagement around the partnership. This holiday season, Family Dollar will ask their customers to join them in supporting Boys & Girls Clubs by making a donation at checkout.
Headquartered in Matthews, NC, Family Dollar has rallied local support with fundraising programs such as Buckets for Hope, a collaboration between Family Dollar and the Charlotte Hornets. For each point scored by the Hornets during the 2016-2017 NBA season, Family Dollar donated $5 to BGCA and The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Charlotte.
Family Dollar encourages relationships between their stores and local Boys & Girls Clubs by inviting the community to attend store Grand Opening Events and donating $1,000 to the nearest Club.
