Fiskars Supports BGCA’s Back2School Campaign and Arts Programs
Arts programs enable youth to develop their creativity and cultural awareness through knowledge and appreciation of the visual arts, crafts, performing arts and creative writing. Studies have shown that at-risk students who have access to the arts in or out of school also tend to have better academic results, better workforce opportunities, and more civic engagement.
With a mission of enabling all young people, especially those who need us most, BGCA is in a unique position to provide access to arts programming, plus the guidance needed to help develop new skills and foster creativity, for youth who might not otherwise have access to these opportunities.
As part of the company’s overall partnership with BGCA, Fiskars supports the Midwest Youth of the Year Event, BGCA’s Back To School Campaign as well as arts programming. Additionally, Fiskars’ classroom scissors packaging includes the BGCA logo and information about the partnership.
