Together, we’re investing in youth wellness programs that strengthen families and nourish communities across Food Lion’s 10-state footprint.
Nourishing Young People
Food Lion Feeds and Boys & Girls Clubs of America share the belief that America Needs Club Kids —youth who are confident, capable, and equipped to lead. With more than half of Club members qualifying for free or reduced-price lunch, this new partnership helps open the door to accessible nutrition, reliable meals, and real-world learning experiences that fuel kids’ physical and emotional well-being.
Through a $250,000 annual investment, 20 Boys & Girls Clubs across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic will strengthen their health and wellness programming with the support of Food Lion. From Healthy Habits Days and Club Market Days to behind-the-aisles field trips and community pack-outs, young people will gain hands-on skills in budgeting, nutrition, leadership, and service. By bringing caring mentors directly into Clubs, this partnership creates experiences that nourish young people today and open the door to lifelong healthy habits.
