Lenovo supports Boys & Girls Clubs by providing young people with the equipment and skills needed to build digital apps.
Helping Clubs and kids get hackathon-ready
In 2017, Lenovo and Boys & Girls Clubs of America entered into a partnership to help Boys & Girls Clubs members further their interest and skills in coding and computer science. Lenovo’s support will allow Club sites to run App Lab programming, providing kids and teens with the knowledge to build simple apps, while making it easy for staff to provide fun, accessible experiences over time. Upon completion of the programming, members will have the opportunity to participate in a hackathon event at their Club. In addition, Lenovo will generously donate the equipment needed to run the hackathons and App Lab programming.
