MetLife Foundation

The MetLife Foundation believes that giving back to the places where MetLife operates helps foster strong connections between the company, employees, and communities. With MetLife Foundation’s support, Boys & Girls Clubs of America is working to ensure all of our programs are inclusive and culturally relevant and to create resources that help close the opportunity gap while nurturing and elevating youth voice.

A Longtime Supporter

The MetLife Foundation is a longtime supporter of Boys & Girls Clubs of America. From 1986 to 2020, the Foundation sponsored BGCA's Honor Awards for Program Excellence, the most prestigious program award at BGCA.

Starting in 2022 the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and MetLife Foundation have partnered to activate career exploration programming, deliver the continuum of workforce programs and experiences, and provide meaningful career exploration opportunities to Club youth. MetLife Foundation’s funding will help build the Clubs’ organizational capacity, training, and infrastructure required to deliver high quality programming (both in-person and virtually) that results in sustained, positive outcomes for young people.

The MetLife Foundation is also a sponsor of one of BGCA’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Practitioners Summit, which plays a key role in educating Club leaders, as well as DEI experts within across industries, about how we are ensuring all our programs, including Workforce Readiness, are written for a diverse audience.
