Creating 21st Century Leaders
In 2017, T-Mobile is partnering with us to launch Generation T, a new workforce development initiative inspiring youth to think about their next steps toward career success. Generation T invites teens into T-Mobile stores to show them the latest in mobile technology and give them a behind-the-scenes look at a day in the life of the Un-carrier. This new hands-on career exploration program builds youth confidence that they can succeed in a real-world work environment. We are currently in a pilot phase, working with 50 Clubs in select cities across the United States. The ultimate goal is to make the job shadowing experience available to all Clubs.
In 2016, T-Mobile supported Boys & Girls Clubs through a Major League Baseball Homerun Derby and a Giving Tuesday promotion. Cumulatively, T-Mobile has donated over $600,000, with 75 percent going straight to Clubs. The partnership was a collaborative efforts thanks to the help and guidance of Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue.
Holiday Season 2017
On Giving Tuesday, T-Mobile will make donations to Boys & Girls Clubs of America on behalf of customers, who can select to support it in the T-Mobile Tuesdays app. For every customer that selects Boys & Girls Club, T-Mobile will donate the equivalent of 40 minutes of homework help to a youth in need. In addition, T-Mobile will make a further donation on this day to support the Boys & Girls Club for anyone that tweets using the hashtag #TMoGiving.
