Each year leaders, volunteers, and youth from Boys & Girls Clubs across the nation head to Washington, D.C. to meet directly with their members of Congress and talk about the powerful impact they are making in their communities and the critical issues facing kids today.
During National Days of Advocacy Boys & Girls Clubs are asking officials to invest in our nation’s future workforce by supporting workforce readiness programs and work opportunities in the out-of-school and summer hours. We are also emphasizing the importance of positive adult mentors, youth opioid prevention, expanding and supporting meal and snack programs as well as other programs that provide valuable resources including tutoring, academic support, STEM programs and physical activities during afterschool and the summertime.
