New Virtual Club Experience

Our world has changed tremendously this year. The demand for quality virtual programming for kids and teens has skyrocketed while the digital divide has widened in our most vulnerable communities.

With limited resources and time, Boys & Girls Clubs have quickly expanded their practices to fill in the gap. Clubs remain committed to do whatever it takes to ensure all kids have equitable access to digital resources and virtual programming needed to succeed during this unprecedented time, and beyond.

In partnership with Comcast NBCUniversal, Boys & Girls Clubs created a digital platform for kids and teens to engage in educational fun, learning and play. MyFuture is now enhanced to even further engage kids, while helping them stay engaged and academically on track as the nation continues to navigate the pandemic.
The new and improved MyFuture is now accessible to all young people ages 6-24, not just Club members! The online program provides a safe and high-quality virtual Club experience that helps create a sense of community so many youth need right now. Additional features include:

• Mobile-Optimization – Youth and teens can now access MyFuture using any mobile device, even in areas with low bandwidth.
• Games and Activities – MyFuture offers a robust curriculum, with more than 300 activities, ranging from foundational technology skills to media making, coding, game design, leadership development and environmental education.
• More Teen Programming – Through the Whatever It Takes live event series, MyFuture now offers live events like poetry slams and teen town halls discussing current topics. Also, the MyFuture Teens Page includes engaging content like career exploration and safe driving.
• New Rewards System – MyFuture now offers a more “gamified” recognitions program that includes badges, pre-designed certificates and a brand new program where users can unlock new avatars and gain points for rewards.
• Programming for All Skill Levels – MyFuture is designed to meet kids and teens where they are in their digital lives and teaches a range of skills from the most basic to the most advanced.
