Truist’s Bill Rogers and Invesco’s Allison Dukes Champion Young Leaders as Co-Chairs of Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s “National Youth of the Year” Celebration
Press Release

ATLANTA – June 20, 2024 – Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the nation’s leading youth non-profit organization, is pleased to announce that its 2024 “National Youth of the Year” event will be co-chaired by Bill Rogers, chairman and chief executive officer of Truist Financial Corporation, and L. Allison Dukes, chief financial officer at Invesco Ltd.
The Youth of the Year program, which Boys & Girls Clubs of America has run for more than 75 years, honors and celebrates the nation’s most inspiring teens and their incredible journeys. Young people are recognized for their outstanding leadership, service, academic excellence, and dedication to health and wellbeing; it is the highest honor a Boys & Girls Club youth can receive. Each year, from a group of regional and military Youth of the Year winners, one exceptional young person is named National Youth of the Year, representing Boys & Girls Clubs of America as a teen ambassador, and serving as a voice for millions of Club youth across the country.
As co-chairs of the National Youth of the Year leadership committee, Rogers and Dukes will work collaboratively with fellow business and community leaders, professionals, and philanthropists to help elevate the event, strengthen its impact, and raise critical funds so even more young people can experience the life-enhancing programs offered at Boys & Girls Clubs.
“Bill and Allison are not only distinguished leaders in their industries, but also longtime committed advocates for young people,” said Jim Clark, president & CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of America. “With their individual and collective expertise, dedication, and passion for the empowerment of youth, I’m confident they’ll further energize our National Youth of the Year events and help us continue to make a profound impact on young lives nationwide.”
In addition to the National Youth of the Year co-chair role, Rogers has served on Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s Board of Governors since 2017, and in 2025 he will assume the role of board chair. Previously, he served on the Board of Directors for Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta for more than 20 years.
“The National Youth of the Year recognition is core to the purpose of Boys & Girls Clubs of America,” Rogers said. “It is the culmination of experience these youth have gained through their involvement with Boys & Girls Clubs. I am honored to co-chair this year’s event with Allison and look forward to meeting the talented young 2024 finalists who are tomorrow’s leaders.”
Dukes, a respected leader in the Atlanta community, has a strong record of nonprofit service, community involvement, and commitment to the wellbeing of youth. She currently serves on the boards of trustees for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Emory University. She was previously board chair for Junior Achievement of Georgia and served on the board of the Atlanta History Center.
“I am delighted to join Bill as co-chair of the National Youth of the Year event this year, and Invesco is proud to partner with Boys & Girls Clubs of America to bring this nationally recognized ceremony to Atlanta,” said Allison Dukes. “With a commitment to support and empower the communities in which we operate, Invesco fully supports Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s mission to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential.”
Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s 2024 Youth of the Year program will culminate with the naming of the 2024-2025 National Youth of the Year during a celebration event on September 18 in Atlanta.
