Boys & Girls Clubs of America Applauds Release of 21st Century Community Learning Center Funds

Boys & Girls Clubs of America is deeply grateful for the strong, bipartisan support from leaders at every level of government—members of Congress, governors, state education agencies, and local officials—who helped ensure the release of 21st Century Community Learning Center (21st CCLC) funds.

We especially thank Congress and the Administration for their long-standing commitment to young people, reaffirmed again this year through continued support for the 21st CCLC program. Their leadership sends a powerful message: investing in kids is a national priority.

This outcome is a testament to the tireless advocacy of Boys & Girls Clubs across the country. In just a few weeks, Club leaders, staff, members, and supporters came together—sharing powerful stories, contacting elected officials, and mobilizing communities to advocate for young people.

Because of this collective effort, hundreds of thousands of young people will continue to have access to the safe, supportive afterschool and summer programs at Boys & Girls Clubs around the country. While we celebrate this progress, we know the work continues. We remain committed to advocating for the resources and opportunities every child needs to reach their full potential.
