Kraft Heinz Company Foundation
Helping expand access to nutritious food
Since 2014, the Kraft Heinz Company Foundation has donated more than $1 million to increase healthy eating behaviors and access to healthy food among low-income Club members, their families and their communities. Its support has funded kitchen refurbishments, garden installations, initiatives to encourage a culture of wellness at home, and the creation of partnerships among Clubs and food banks.
The foundation and BGCA will continue to advance youth wellness by building a national infrastructure to address food security. The BGCA Food Security Strategy seeks to impact over 2 million Club members nationwide, increasing access to food by bridging the gap between school and home. Kraft Heinz Foundation funding will activate the Food Security Strategy in 39 Clubs, with a focus on assessment to determine best practices for large-scale replication.
