Since 2003, Maytag brand has proudly partnered with Boys & Girls Clubs of America to invest in the mentors and critical resources young people need to build great futures. Each year, in partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Maytag brand honors and rewards stand-out Club professionals and volunteers who positively impact the youth and communities they serve. Additionally, since 2021, the Maytag® Feel Good Fridge program has connected thousands of Club kids and families with reliable access to nutritious food.
At the heart of this commitment is a shared mission: recognize the Club professionals and community champions making a difference and ensure no child goes without the support — and nutrition — they need to thrive.
Honoring Leaders Who Change Lives
Each year, the Maytag® Dependable Leader Award shines a spotlight on exceptional Club professionals, volunteers and community champions who go above and beyond for the kids and teens they serve.
Along with national recognition, honorees receive a $20,000 grant to enhance their local Boys & Girls Club’s programs and services. To date, more than 140 inspiring leaders, including former U.S. President Jimmy Carter, have been recognized for their unwavering dedication to helping thousands of young people reach their full potential.
Feeding More Families through Maytag® Feel Good Fridges
Access to nutritious food is foundational, yet for too many families, it’s not guaranteed.
Since 2021, the Maytag® Feel Good Fridge program has helped close that gap by connecting Club kids and families with reliable, everyday nourishment where it’s needed most. What began with 10 refrigerators in Clubs across Los Angeles, New York, Detroit and Grand Rapids, has grown into a nationwide initiative, with 60 fridges and counting installed in Clubs across the country.
Each fridge is stocked with nutritious food and supported by a startup grant, empowering Clubs to build sustainable food programs and strong community partnerships that keep them filled.
The impact is tangible: the Maytag® Feel Good Fridge program serves approximately 130 kids daily at participating locations, creating a dependable source of nourishment for thousands of youth and families nationwide.*
