U.S. Bank Foundation
Boys & Girls Clubs of America and the U.S. Bank Foundation support digital access and workforce readiness opportunities for America’s youth.
Increasing Digital Access & Workforce Opportunities for America’s Youth
Research indicates that over 50% of military-connected youth face geographic isolation, limiting their access to in-person workforce programs and career exploration opportunities. Additionally, more than 30% of rural and Native-serving Boys & Girls Clubs struggle with inadequate broadband or devices. Many teens in remote and low-income areas also have limited access to mentors and exposure to post-secondary or career planning opportunities.
Boys & Girls Clubs of America, with support from U.S. Bank Foundation, is working to close the gap in youth internet access, digital devices, and workforce readiness opportunities. By expanding access to BGCA’s virtual college and workforce readiness programs like diplomas2Degrees and other digital tools, Boys & Girls Clubs of America aims to prepare 6,000 young people in Clubs for meaningful career pathways, especially in Native, rural and military-connected communities.
