Dr. Rita Ng was a Boys & Girls Club of Tracy member since its inception in 1989, where she taught free piano lessons. She was crowned Miss California in 2000, becoming the first Asian American to hold the title, and runner-up in the 2001 Miss America Pageant. A cardiologist and Physician-In-Chief for Kaiser Permanente Oakland, she also founded the East Bay Global Health Consortium. She has raised millions of dollars for philanthropic causes through her keynote addresses and piano concerts.
