Q&A

What kind of difference do you hope to make while being a part of BGCA’s National Youth Advisory Council?

I hope to bring my unique personality, point of view, and the perspectives of my community to a national level to help drive positive change on a larger scale. I aim to advocate for issues I care deeply about, such as mental health and career readiness, so the voices of youth in my community are heard and respected.

What do you enjoy most about your Club?

My BGC is my family, my safe space, and the place where I discover who I am. Over the years, I’ve failed, grown, found my voice, and become someone who can give back to my community. I enjoy mentoring younger members, and it’s important to me to be the support for them that I didn’t always have. Supporting their growth enhances my soft skills and brings me joy.

What do you see as your biggest strength?

My biggest strength is my motivation and drive for excellence. I always aim to be my best and put in extra work to ensure positive change. People can count on me to be prepared and keep groups on track. I’m adaptable in group settings, recognizing when to step back and when to take charge, stepping up when needed.
