What kind of difference do you hope to make while being a part of BGCA’s National Youth Advisory Council?
I hope to bring a variety of ideas and perspectives from the Greater Houston area to initiate change, not only in my community but also in other diverse cities like mine.
Why is it important for BGCA to consider the voices of young people when creating things for Clubs?
Club makeup is mainly youth and young adults, and many who come through BGCA go on to do amazing things and give back to the organization that supported them.
What do you see as your biggest strength?
My biggest strength is my ability to empathize with others and raise a red flag when I witness youth (or anyone, for that matter) experiencing inequality.
